    It is one of lifes mysteries Damo,it's like chip shop fish and chips in paper,that was a treat when i was a kid

    Agreed. Whoever came up with chicken in a basket needs looking into. The main reason we get food on a piece of slate or an old log nowadays.

    The reason was it was originally pub food, and didn't fill out the table a plate would so you had room for your pints, empties and ash tray

    And make sure it is Tomato Ketchup in a glass bottle, none of that plastic rubbish. It just does not taste the same unless it is dispensed from a glass bottle. JMHO
