Should Toure get a farewell ceremony?

No, why?

United, Chelsea, Liverpool and co can have wife beaters, philanderers and DJ-hitters playeing for them, but I'm sorry, I thought we were different.
I didn't mean in general, I meant in regards to what Yaya has done, which is nowhere near any of that shite.

He was caught two times over the drink drive limit and to quote the judge it was “inconceivable” he did not know he was drinking and he was fined £54k on top of a 18 month driving ban. Some fucking rola cola that fella.
You and the Judge not had Aldi Coke then :)

He's a legend. Kompany, Toure, Silva and Aguero, that spine of our team deserve massive (yes massive) send offs when they go.

Forget the bollocks off the pitch that has gone on, he has played huge roles in pretty much every trophy we have won, some of the highlights:
- 2011 FA Cup Semi Final vs United.
- 2011 FA Cup Final vs Stoke.
- 2011/12 Newcastle (a).
- 2014 League Cup final vs Sunderland.
- 2013/14 season (deserved Premier League POTY, shambles that he didn't win it.
- 2016 League Cup Final vs Liverpool (Winning pen).

I think it would be poetic if we brought him on in the last 5 minutes of extra time in the Champions League final and he scored the winning pen in the shootout, I know that would be no good for old tickers but what a send off that would be.
If and when we get to the CL final, with 5 mins left of extra time and looking ever likely to be a penalty shootout, then Yaya is the man!

If the best player to ever play for us (in my opinion) doesn't deserve one then who does?

What a goal
This meant summat, too:

Only if you happen to live on planet weird.

He'll have been at City 8 years on completion of this. How many great seasons would you say he has had?

I do not mean to denigrate his time at City. Just pointing out it's been hit and miss at times.

But, as I said, and I included some great goals which meant a great deal, his benefit has far out-weighed any negative.

To say he's had more shite seasons than good is just nonsense. His biggest critic could maybe argue he's had more good seasons than fantastic seasons, but to claim someone who has contributed so much has had loads of shite seasons is just......well, shite.

I think my last sentence in what you quoted is pertinent.

Maybe shite was the wrong word. Many will remember Yaya for his agent, lies and cake-gate.

However, he's had a number of poor seasons; let's not deny that - namely under Pelligrini - this one might as well not have happened, either.

Do you think I took the time to post those gifs of him scoring great and memorable goals because I don't like him?

He's been a beast for City and I have enjoyed his time here. But, he's without a doubt, been here a season or two too long - - in my opinion.

Personally I wish he’d get one in this window. Think he’s been great but is a passenger now. Squad needs cover if we are to remain in 4 competitions.

I really don't care whether you like him or not but using the word shite for someone who had been so key and instrumental in our development as a team is plainly daft.
