I was watching them last night absolutley ripping Basel apart; Robben, Ribery, Muller, Gomez, Lahm, Schweinsteiger all standing out for me.

I would have all of those players at City so i was wondering if other blues agreed??

Envisage a Yaya and Schweinsteiger CM partnership; Robben/ Ribery and Lavezzi (Napoli) on the wings, Lahm who for me is the best left back in the at the moment, Muller who was the top goalscorer at the last world cup; is only 22 and right up there in the assists charts since starting for Bayern and Gomez who nearly matched Messi's 5 goal record last night in a CL game, what a striker.

We cant have them all but surely you would like to have a few of them? Just a thought Blues.

The only one we might have a chance of getting is Robben and possibly Ribery. There's no way we'd be able to lure away their German stars unless one of them isn't happy and all of them seem to be, they're a very prestigious club to play for in Germany and in the eyes of those German players there can probably be no better club to play at.

Luis Gustavo is another player I like from Bayern.

Mario Gomez is an astonishing player. Best poacher in the world by far, nobody comes remotely close.

Two good wingers + Gomez guarantees 30-40 goals per season. But the same could probably be said about Dzeko if we played that way!

The pricks in charge there will probably never do business with us again. Boateng was the last dealings we will have with Bayern...

Pricks or not, they run one of the, if not the most financially solid club in the world of football. The play very attractive football and have a squad where the majority of the players are German. They sell for high fee's and buy for low fees.

I'm not a BM fan, but I have great respect for that club and it's philosophy.

Oh, and no one, not even us, can "raid" Bayern Munich. They are very very wealthy and one of the biggest clubs in the world. I think they will go all the way this year in the CL.

I despise their aristocratic arrogance that was shown towards us earlier this season and I will them to fail and Dortmund/Gladbach/Schalke to succeed weekly.

But all that said I agree completely that Munich may be the best run club in the world, financially healthy yet able to carry a huge wage structure and buy good players. The scary thing is Munich isn't exploiting it's full potential as a giant in today's game, for example they don't go to Asia/America on pre-season tours, but maybe that will change. I could see it being "Barcelona, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Manchester City" as the four most powerful clubs in the world in about 5 years time when we find our Champions League footing.

Exactly, and unfortunately we don't even have one.

I like mostof the fans and espesh the cool match days.
They have great banter with the tannoy guy, wish we had that going on.

It was actually a Bayern fan who told me when i was younger about how utd kicked families out of their homes (crash victims families) and other reasons he found them reprehensable.
So most fans are decent from my experience.

Yeah we may get some of the non German players if we can offer them a nice deal but i doubt the rest would want to leave.

Please, Please, Please, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE do not compare Gomez to Dzeko. There is not one thing Dzeko does better then Gomez, literally not one thing. Gomez right now, bar Messi and Ronaldo is by far the best striker in the world, including Van Persie. Best finisher in the world.

Also, Gomez goals rarely come from service via the wings. He does get the goals like that, however many of his goals come centrally, and from having absolute top positional awareness.

If we had Gomez, we'd easily be 6,7 points up.

Fuck me, haha thanks

No chance of getting a Bayern player. They are on long contracts:

Ribery 2015, Lahm 2016, Gustavo 2015, Schweinsteiger 2016, Kroos 2015, Müller 2015
Robben and Gomez will sign longer contracts soon.

btw: Bayern turned down an 80 million euro offer from Real for Ribery two years ago..

It wasn't a direct comparison, it was me saying that if we had Ribery and Robben on the wings Dzeko could score 30-40 goals. Dzeko's goalscoring rate in the Bundesliga was not that far behind Gomez's (Dzeko: 9/33, 36/42, 29/48, 11/19. Gomez: 14/45, 39/45, 34/36) and Dzeko was in an inferior team to the current Bayern even though Wolfsburg won the league. Look at how few crosses we make, yet Dzeko has scored quite a few goals off the crosses we actually do make, like against Liverpool in the cup, against Wigan in the league, against Spurs in the league, and against Blackburn in the league. Imagine we tripled or quadroupled the amount of crosses we do, how many could he score? He'd probably have about 30 already for the rags this season.

Would it surprise you if I would tell you that Müller has given Gomez more assists in the recent season (and before last week it was the same) than Robben and Ribery combined...

And that more than 90 per cent of the goals Gomez shot this season he shot when Müller is somewhere near him - and Müller mainly has played the right winger this season who just somewhen moves inside?

It is not enough to see that fabulous wingers and the poacher - there is four in the system - and the fourth is the one that does the movement without the ball (that he does enough assists - and as soon his goal instinct is totally back enough goals on his own is just an addition), tracks the defenders away (he sometimes just works it that 3 defenders are on him and none on Gomez), moves outside to keep the field wide when Robben or Ribery move inside, creates spaces for shots out of the second row, always is the second passing possibility, has a special sense for positioning and timing and how a situation will change when he does this or that - and just fucks every zonal defense system.

To Dzeko - in Wolfsburg he had a perfect system for him with Misimovic behind him and Grafite as partner. The forward is just part of the system - if the system does not function for the type of forward it does not work. Gomez start at Bayern was not easy. He did not fit - he first had to work on himself and change style - and the others had to adapt to his style, too.

In the German National Squad Gomez right now does not have much chances to play whenever Klose is fit as Klose just perfectly matches to the style Özil and Müller play in that team - they are the magic triangle there. It does not matter how good a poacher he is.
