Should we still employ this man?

Offensive to who? Some people need to give their fannys a wipe. Are more people mard arses these days or is there just more of a platform for people to whinge? Its seems every day there are about 10 storys on people being "offended" by something.

It annoys me when petitions start for somebody to be sacked from their job, i dont think people fully understand the consequences of somebody losing their livelihood.
 
I think the point is that police officers shouldn't be airing their political views on social media.
I wonder if he was Jewish and likened the leader of an Arabic country to a mass murderer, it would be viewed the same?

Completely agree. The argument seems to be if someone says something deemed offensive, but ultimately harmless, there's a right to ruin their life and possibly their children's.

What ever happened to the days when you could apologise for a one off misjudgement and everyone accepted it and just moved on.

Pre-social media, Willy. In days gone by they wouldn't have know about it, 'cos they wouldn't have bought a paper and it wouldn't have been a news item on local or national news, but the internet gives these people instant connection and instant reply. And the over-riding reaction with most things to to dig around and see if there are sufficient people who are offended.

Once upon a time most people were only offended with one thing - a MANUre goal.
 
You can guarantee if the majority of people thought what this guy did was the hilarious the people who find it "offensive" would be laughing along with them. Sheep
