Dear fellow blues,

Please could you find the time to support my daughter’s petition and stop students being unfairly fleeced for paying for accomodation they are unlikely to use over the next academic year due to the Covid-19 restrictions in place at Universities.

Paying rent on accomodation they will not be using, yet tied into a 12 month contract for a 20 week acadmic year, running up even more debt for them and their families.

Time to get this Government to act and support our future generations instead of loading them with more unneccessary debt!

Thanks for any help you can give.

If they agree as a union to stop supporting social injustice movements and rabid left wing propaganda, stop hounding, vilifying and protesting non-issues and recognise the precedence of biological sex then I'll think about it.

Yeah, agreed, social injustice should be supported and nurtured wherever it is found.

Why should landlords pick up the tab?

Exactly and to be fair to landlords......renting out to students is a mither although they get well rewarded for it. The other option is to forget renting out to embryonic left wing loonies and rent out to normal people. Having said that, the little lambs will then start protesting about a total lack of nice warm fluffy housing for a few months in their otherwise hectic year.

Why would you enter into a 12 months contract from July when you don't need to be there?

They can't evict this year until 23rd August anyway as it has been extended 2 months. Wait until December and see what is available.
