FantasyIreland said:David Silva, Manchester City's increasingly influential midfielder, is likely to miss the game at Arsenal tomorrow with a knee injury and fears he may be out for up to two weeks.
Silva, the club's player of the month for December, was injured in the 1-0 win over Blackpool on Saturday and, although City are waiting for more tests before deciding whether he can travel to London, sources in Spain have indicated the former Valencia player expects it may be a fortnight before he returns.
City's medical staff are working on the basis that he could be available for the FA Cup tie at Leicester City on Sunday.
Mario Balotelli has returned to training and, although he did not complete a full session yesterday, the Italian is in contention to replace Silva, having missed the Blackpool game because of a sore knee.
