Simple Minds

They played a lot of the tracks from that live album, and in a similar style as opposed to album versions.

That would be a bucket list item for me. Consider yourself lucky. And congrats.

They are just as good as they were in the 80's and early 90's. Their latest album is excellent and they are still a fantastic band live.

Tim’s Listening Party now on Absolute Radio doing New Gold Dream with Jim & Charlie.
Most days of the year probably my favourite album ever.

Some excellent stories behind the songs- still an hour of the show left.
Would’ve loved to hear Michael MacNeil contribute too - his keys and synths made it so so special

Loved them in the 80's, but in an effort to capture the buzz of their live sound most of their stuff sounds like its recorded in a deserted multistorey car park

Incredible band. Waterfront is unbelievably good.
This was the greatest ever recording of it for me, the full ten minutes. Remember first time I saw it was on the Tube tv show (video of which is still on YouTube).
They shortened it later that tour - and for future tours - and the version that appeared on the official live City of Light album was a shadow of this one.
