United are still at the stage where the whole is greater than the sum of the parts. They still benefit from having that playing system that's been honed over 15 years. It makes it easier for new players coming into the team, makes it easier to win when playing badly. And of course they've got that confidense that success brings.
We're catching up to them, probably do have better players but they've still got that intangible success factor. Even though we were under prepared for the CS and it was only a pre season friendly the game did demonstrate some of the reasons why United are so difficult to catch up.
