Sky 'do up' Summerbee

I have to agree with the OP. it was a bit of an ambush the timing of that stat graphic, in an attempt to embarrass Summerbee.

Very classless imo. especially considering they had inflated statistics. Definitely deserves an apology.

I love Summerbee, but he made a bit of a tit of himself on Saturday.

No he didn't. He comes from an era when you settled things one on one with you're fists, not with a bottle, knife, gun, or a load of you're mates when the other guy is on his own. He spoke his mind, which is something most people from more recent generations are incapable of doing. To not applaud buzzer for this out spoken, but coorect view on the game when paired of with piss ants like Redtwat and the glove puppet, is to show that cowardice is now the new badge of honour in are slowly decaying country.

not saying anyone should do this, but wouldn't be funny if all aforementioned dicks got clocked, so they all either couldn't present, or had to with great big shiners. Once again, I'm not advocating this, just thought it might be amusing?

Here's a view from a red and I'm being as fair as I can.

Firstly I can understand him wanting to fight his corner, it's actually admirable. For those to say he was fitted up I think that's just too far fetched.

Mike Summerbee was the first to mention stats, he said City had had 60% of possesion and more chances on goal. How would Sky know in advance he was going to say this in order to make him look wrong? I suppose they could have altered the figures quickly after he mentioned stats himself, but why would they? Even if Sky were out by a few and City had more possesion, it makes them both wrong surely. If the correct stats were eg 53% City, they stil would have shown him being wrong as it wasn't 60% the number that Mike quoted. The guy hosting the show even made the point of saying "They agree with what you're saying Mike as they both had 10 chances, Utd had 5 on target and City 3". He actually said this even though Mike had said City had more chances. So they may both had been out somewhat but I can't see an agenda. Sky want viewing figures but I seriously doubt they try to 'fit up' guests as it serves no purpose.

His loyalty was admirable but as a pundit he should be getting his facts right also rather than making them up. Sky should have the correct stats also. If Sky hadn't displayed any stats then other people may have been as annoyed as some on here are, as Mike would have told the nation the wrong stats also. I'm not trying to be argumentative as everyone has their own interpretation, but I see no purpose in fitting somebody up?

You don`t half talk a load of bollocks !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

buzzer stuck up for us as i would expect. having lost get again in the derby how would you feel being ganged up on by smarmy redknapp and a grinning yorke. i would want to punch the pair of them. and stats are as he said not interesting. keeping the ball in the corner for a few minutes gives you more possesion but it is not real possesion it you follow me. good for mike. franny lee was similar when he was on. doubt we will see either of them again as sky prefer some more arse lickers to people who tell the truth. don't worry. in a couple of years they can have ratboy on after we have smashed them at the swamp in a derby and we can watch his reaction.

Sometimes I think that Sky, The FA and mufc are all one.

They are not one but they are close enough.
Rag infestation is everywhere in this country.
Makes me sick but we will have our time and how great it will be!

I don't think in my opening post is said it was a 'conspiracy', but at the end of the day Sky made a error which lead to a pundits opinion being made invalid, when it was cleary genuine point.

They have, in someway, disrespected Summerbee, accident or not but surely if it was an accident, an apology would not be a problem, especially due to the media attention it cause on that particular point in the program.

Whether malicious or benevolent, Sky should apologise.

Buzzer's stats might not have been too far off had u****d not been holding onto the ball, running the clock down in the final 10 minutes (not saying this doesn't count). I said straight away it was bollocks when they showed them stats, we clearly had more possession. Fuck em.
