Sky HD

Anyone got this? Someone at work told me today that Sky Hd is no better than normal tele and he can't tell the difference. Anyone who's got Sky HD feel the same? I personally think the picture on Sky HD is much much better and when watching football on normal tv like today for example i can tell the difference

Sky HD looks awesome. Watched City at Portsmouth on it last season and you could see dandruff and all sorts of stuff you would normally miss.

The extra £10 they charge for it is a bit naughty but I have heard they might be getting rid of this soon.

It is a bit naughty when you consider there are very few hd channels that show just HD programmes but i think it's worth it just for the football because it's quality in HD. When you watch the match in HD say for half an hour and flick back over to normal Sky the difference in quality is unbelievable, normal sky looks so blurey

IMO it is a noticeable improvement in picture quality - much more definiton & sharpness.
Begrudge palming Murdoch a brown note,but is worth it.
All sport is better,as are any "nature" programmes.

Agree with everything posted so far. Had it 20 months now, it's great. Nature / Discovery programmes are exceptional !
