Suppose with their Carr/French connection it might make some sense from the Newcastle perspective ...
 
It would be hard for Vieira to turn down a Premier League job even if it was Newcastle.

Newcastle are a pretty big club.
 
I'd imagine that Paddy will be keen to move into management. But Newcastle? Seriously? Who'd want to go and work for that unambitious twat up at Sid James' Park? The presure and the limitations he'd be working under there would be enormous. "Massive", even. He might be best to learn the ropes at a Championship/League 1 club first.
 
Can't imagine he'd want to go there, it's a complete mess. I wouldn't be particularly bothered if he did though, I've not seen anything to suggest he's much of a manager. If he went, we'd just promote Wilcox, who looks pretty impressive
 
Yep can't blame him Newcastle is huge club and if he takes it I think Ashley will give him quite a bit to spend and time, like with Pardue when he gave him a 10 year contract...
 
Wilcox is doing wonders,i'm sure he could step up.......

With the probable arrival of Pep next year this scenario was always a strong possibility.

And on the flip,its a risky move by Newcastle
