Running win7 on the Master HDD however this issue was noticed on previous operating systems...
When i open up a file on the slave drive the HDD boots up and takes quite awhile to open up the file, be it a 10kb txt document or a 10gb video file, it sounds as though the HDD was asleep and opening up the file wakes it up.
Any suggestions as to keep the HDD operating? rather than waiting a few minutes to open up a file when i need one... or is it advised based on energy consumption to keep it in its pyjamas?
