OK, it worked, I clicked on the article via News Now. Before I did, I somehow had a rough idea of what to expect. It's Sly Sports after all.

That aside, it definitely could have gone in that thread that doesn't exist anymore. ;-)

Credit to the Sly Sports Media Department for coming up with another insightful, yet pointless gem of an article, which will.......(I'll let you fill the rest in)

Really thought it was about fans and turned out it was about players and how far away they come from :/

Desperate stuff, even from Murdoch's crumbling empire. I suppose they had to get that in before the likes of Barker, Tosin, Humphreys etc break through.

What a ridiculous and flawed piece of 'research'.
So a squad of 25 French players would be more 'local' than one made up of twenty Mancunians, who all play and five Aussies who are back ups?

It's called manipulating figures to form your own narrative.

Invested tens of millions of pounds in to the local economy with the CFA.
Provide an education for all of the academy lads.
Work harder with the local community than United who's United Foundation is more of a PR wing.

I'm starting to think any opposition fan who reads shite like this and can't see it for what it is truly is an absolute imbecile.

If they don't support us how would they know, the media don't exactly ram it down their throats

This is what confuses me with all the hate for Sky on here - people are still paying for this shit.

I haven't bought a newspaper for way over 15yrs... I can't even remember it was so far back.

We unsubscribed from Sky around 10yrs ago now.

I don't complain about their product as I don't pay them.

if you are still paying... Why?

As Squirty points out, there are plenty of options now allowing you to watch whatever you want, whenever you want, and from any country

I find the English commentators annoying biased twats so if I watch a game I'll watch it with Foreign commentary as at least I don't have a clue what they are saying :D

One week they are doing an excellent piece on the new academy, facilities and how its had an impact on the local community, few weeks later it's this shit. Wish they would make their minds up.
