Even when he DID play last season (as opposed to being crocked all the time), he was shit.

Can't see Bobby being interested. Wasn't high on his radar last summer, never mind this.

Inter offered him as a deal for Tevez but we said no because we had Nasri.

Would prefer a younger option if you ask me plus we need width and pace not more attacking midfielders!

Does this mean Peter "rag boy" Spencer will be on every five minutes with his KFA updates every five minutes this summer just as he was last year.

Our midfield is fine as it is!

Our midfield is relatively poor without Yaya - a Barry / DJ combo for a one off game is ok for a sequence of games it is dire.

They are both good at what the do - Barry keeps the ball moving and keep the passing simple and lets others do the clever stuff - DJ breaks up play but offensively is poor

Yaya could be out at ACON or he culd get injured or if we could get a top top midfield player an Alonso chap we could push Yaya forward more often which i think is his best position anyway

It's not so good that you had to tell us twice. We only appear to have Yaya, Bazza, Nigel and Milner battling for three places. Some back-up would be good.

For what it's worth, a Daily Fail report:

Manchester City could resurrect their interest in Inter Milan midfielder Wesley Sneijder after missing out on Eden Hazard, according to reports in Italy.
Roberto Mancini has been stung into action after Belgian playmaker Hazard snubbed a move to the Etihad Stadium in favour of Premier League rivals Chelsea.

Looking good: Wesley Sneijder trains with Dutch squad for Euro 2012
Now City are ready to meet Inter's £30m asking price for Dutch midfielder Sneijder, reports the Gazzetta dello Sport.
Manchester United also held talks with the Italian club in January but were unable to agree a fee for the 27-year-old.

No quotes, length of piece, bullshit... probably.

said it last year and will say it again, i would have him in a heartbeat!! could help pull the strings in our midfield and allow yaya the freedom that makes him so devastating!!

Great finish by another of our alleged targets too!

considering that a lot of people think we needa deep lying midfielder who can spray passes around maybe replacing Barry then i can't understand why so many people don't like sneijder. He has all these abilities and more

He would also give us some midfieldcover if Yaya is injured as he is able to control the midfield

Is he a deep lying middy ?

I agree 100% we need a quality player in that position this summer, but I always thought his was a just behind the striker type role.

Then again I thought he was in his early 30's, was shocked to see he's only 27.
