I feel the fee and his wages put to much in the con side of the scales when added to the above.
He is also to similar imo to how Nasri is operating and Silva. I feel those two operating in roaming forward positions enough.
i think to be honest sneijder will start to realise that no one will pay him even close to £200,000 let alone £250,000!! he would also probably be quite happy to sit in the middle and let the likes of yaya and silva dictate the play and do the running while he just picks passes etc??!?!?TCIB said:Not had the best last 2 seasons and his knees are questionable.

He would also give us some midfieldcover if Yaya is injured as he is able to control the midfield
Is he a deep lying middy ?
I agree 100% we need a quality player in that position this summer, but I always thought his was a just behind the striker type role.
Then again I thought he was in his early 30's, was shocked to see he's only 27.

Fair enough, I respect that. At least you had a decent reply other than "he's 27" :0)

To the deep playing stuff, then i would be thinking of M'Vila or Martinez tbh.
Kompany can do a job even in that area, indeed its where he started his pro career playing deep mid if memory serves. (if we had some desperate injury crisis i mean ofc don't move him their)

And there we have it.
I'm glad I read your post, as the bit I've highlighted in bold is exactly what I was thinking. Where in God's name would he fit in with Silva and Nasri. Also, I though Nasri was blending in quite well by the end of the season, so there's a lot more to come from those two, and I'm certainly more excited by that than in signing Sneijder.TCIB said:Not had the best last 2 seasons and his knees are questionable.

That mail reporter is doing a favour for a mate who works at Inter. They want him of the books so they must be stiring it.
Rotate with Barry, who can't have more than one season left, can he?malg said:I'm glad I read your post, as the bit I've highlighted in bold is exactly what I was thinking. Yep, but would Sneijder be happy in Barry's role? Maybe I don't know enough about him, but from what I've been reading I thought he was more in the Silva/Nasri role? I agree that Barry can't have more than 2 good season's left in him, but if Sneijder did fit into this role, I can't really see him being happy with rotating with Barry.SWP's back said:Rotate with Barry, who can't have more than one season left, can he?malg said:I'm glad I read your post, as the bit I've highlighted in bold is exactly what I was thinking.
