It's looking like it might be the worst semi final lineup I've ever seen.

If you want all the favourites to get there, then yes. If you don't mind seeing some guys rip up the form book and see an outsider win it, then no. All semi finalists thoroughly deserve to be there.

I saw Dave Gilbert's emotional interview earlier. Difficult not to want him to do it, it clearly means so much. All of them great players though and decent guys as well.

I know Dave. He's a nice bloke who has never reached his true potential due to not being strong enough mentally in the past. This new partnership with Andy Lee seems to have helped him big time. Here's hoping he can get to the final though Wilson is one hell of a player and a battler.

Claim to fame - I beat Dave in a frame once. When he was about 8 years old (I was 19) and could barely reach the table. Even then I just got lucky :-)

This is going to be a bit of a slog. Karen Wilson isn’t the most exciting players at the best of times but Jak Jones is making this incredibly easy for him. Very easy to say but the occasion has got to him in these first three sessions.
