and City get back to some sort of form. It happens every season from Feb to Easter with the current bunch of work shy players. Not helped this season or last by some attrocious management decisions, but it always seems to happen - regardless of manager, ACN or other influences.

Was speaking to David Thompson (ex l'pool, Blackburn) the other week and he pointed this out to me. Claimed we do it every year and he blamed the foreigners. Apparently they don't like the cold weather!!! I argued the toss against him but there is a pattern every year.
On a different note didn't Joe Royle used to call Dickov the crocus or the tulip 'cos he always came good in spring

Move the club lock, stock and barrel out to Abu Dhabi. Slightly better weather than the tropical paradise that is East Manchester. And the bonus that Sheikhy Boss Man would be able to get to the odd game as well.

Im pretty sure we lost two on the bounce at this time last year (Palace and United) and the year previous (title winning season) lost the vast majority of matches in August and September away from home.

If there is a link its more likely the volume of matches at this time of year lack of winter break and heavier pitches make it more physically challenging for players.

I love how the english players point at the lack of application of foreign players. We have seem france, spanish, german sides dominate at International level, and remarkable, with these hard working english, players not a sniff of a trophy since 66.

This is nonsense as Easter varies from 22nd March to 25th April unless there is something in the easter eggs?

You would have thought so, but no it isn't. Easter marks the approximate boundary of true crappiness give or take a week. Last year it was the week after Easter (loss to the rags), 2012 (Arsenal bang on), 2014 (Liverpool - the week before).

Think this thread is a little premature myself. Yesterday was the 11th time this season we've scored 4 or more goals. So whilst it was good it was nothing new. Lets try and put a decent run together before we claim we're back on form.

Their bonuses will be winking at them now. Just like last season. Pull their finger out when the pay looks in doubt. Wouldn't surprise me to see us win 5/6 of the last 7 games with that in mind. Pity that haven't been able to do it from Sept to April. Pathetic in fact.
