Why is it shutting?

Well it isn't straight away, but the crossroads, the abandoned petrol station and all the maisonettes on grey mare lane and opposite D's are coming down for new housing and D's is apparently part of the renewal, the plan is expected to start within 18 months to teo yearsand demolition of the area then.

I know of this because my parents house is on the estate behind and they have been in the consultations their street is mainly privately owend ex council so looks like staying (originally comp purchase was muted) but the rest are going.
