Just watch the vid on MCFC about the Kit being donated by Umbro to sierra leone with the help of Reddish Blues. Well done CITC. Our community will soon reach to the 4 corners of the world.

Paul lake was doing a book signing last night and also a question & answering.

He was talking about CITC and he was saying all the brilliant stuff that we are doing around the world.

but of course we are just ruining football with the money we have, we don't do anything else.

and also Paul Lake told us that Khaldoon actually made it his mission to make CITC a priority and to really push forward with it. what a great guy he is.

oh my life that video made me well up such an amazing selfless thing to do :) Armani is always so happy,

just watched it myself, well done!

A brilliant video following up on the ones we have seen before about Armani and the Sierra Leone supporters club.

I don't want to ruin it but do you think we will be seeing any of that video on SSN? Will we fuck.

oh i know its terrible :(

Brilliant strategy by the club. We need to get our name heard in these countries which well then result in the ones with spare money buying the merchandise boosting income.

Absolutely love videos like this makes me even more proud to be a blue! :o)

Great work as always!!

As others have said watching videos like CITC make me even more proud to be a City fan, what we have done is incredible, the generosity that we show is just amazing

Hey, but who knows perhaps Peter Spencer from the MuEN who visits this site may convince his boss to let him feature a story on the whole thing from the donation of the bus, and then perhaps we blues will start to believe we are reading the Manchester Evening Blues as is his claim that the this is what the rags call it.

brilliant. It does make you proud to be blue watching things like that. Lakeys doin a great job.
Sierra Leone is a fantastic project and deserves everything coming its way. They are very grateful im sure. Are CITC doing other things elsewhere? Do CITC have a newsletter they publish?

I think the work Lakey , his team and the Reddish lads have put in to this is commendable, although it sticks in my throat a little that you dont seem to hear or see our multi millionaire players getting involved or donating time and / or money to these causes. Im sure they do charitable events but it would be good to see them get involved a bit more hands on with stuff like this for me.
Sorry if im a little negative but to build an astro turf football pitch ,clubhouse, kits and equipment, mini bus in Sierra Leone would probably cost circa 500K.
Adebayor for 1 month!

I couldn't care less whether what CITC is doing gets the publicity it deserves from the likes of Sky, we're going about in a quiet, dignified fashion: no need to shout it from the rooftops (like we all know those detestable fuckers would).
I'm just so immensely proud that the club is doing this, and that in itself is ample reward.

This thread has just made me watch all the OS videos back to back...and i'm not ashamed to say some of it just made me want to well up.
Ditto all the comments here regarding the work done by the Reddish lads and Lakey and all the others who seem to tirelessly devote their time to this cause...always proud to be a blue but especially proud right now.

And i made my 6yr old girl (i want a Nintendo 3DS for Xmas blah blah etc) watch one in the hope it might open her eyes to the 'real world' for these kids...she now wants to donate her brand new shirt...bless her...but added if she did could she have that 3DS for being good???!??!?!?

Well done Reddish Supporters Club & all at CITC, great story.

As the song goes "Best team in the land..........."

Many thanks to everyone for their great comments.

The work Lakey and the rest of the CiTC Team do is remarkable and unique....something we all should be extremely proud of.

None of the lads involved, Lakey, Tony Griffiths (Reddish), Alex Channon (Swinton), Phil Holme (Phuket), Neil Cole (Endemol - the guy behind the camera for all the videos) and myself (Howard Burr - Reddish) do this for any reward or recognition....we do it because we want to and we know we can make a difference by change lives and probably saving some.

To all Blues everywhere who have contributed, and to those who continue to support Sierra Leone, a thousand thank yous....it's been a long road (started in 2003) and a fantastic journey which is now gathering pace.......we couldn't have done it without you

Donations (no matter how small) can be made here www.sierraleonemcfc.co.uk via PayPal and every penny goes to SL....no middlemen.

Cheers,

H.
