I agree that the full houses throughout the cup rounds and cheap ticket prices show the scheme has been a success.
I bet they dont..
there's absolutely no reason why they should

until such times we get an expanded stadium and in turn more season ticket holders

there is not much point in the league cup scheme for me as the final allocation is such that every season ticket holder would be accomodated ala the fa cup semi

i am prepared to take my chances for the earlier rounds

if it proves not to be the case then thats my hard cheese

champs league and fa cup take my financial priority for obvious reasons

The more people who sign up, the less likely it will be that early rounds will be cheaper.

Totally agree
And it wont happen

If 35000 people joined the Cup Scheme then not everyone would get a semi or cup final ticket if we were to get there again.

Been on it since it started but dropped the League cup this season as I wasn't sure of my finances. I still went to the bloody games though lol, Villa was a god awful night

-- Sat May 04, 2013 9:15 am --

They should then make it that the ones that joined first get priority on tickets and not these 'jonny come lately' ;-)
my mate has 8000 points and did not go in the cup scheme,he will next season and you think someone who was in it this year should be infront of him even if the have 300points because they was in it last year, have a think how he got 5000 points infront of the 3000 points person before making that statement ,

Those on high points in the cup scheme still get served first. Your mate will be laughing next season

this is what i'm asking really, who will now go on it due to the criteria for this cup final.

I thought we had put limits on the numbers joining the Champions League scheme - and it had sold out. We don't even get full houses for some of those games.

There is a reason to put a limit on the number of FA Cup scheme members - namely so that everyone in it has the chance to go the Final. With respect to Wigan, it is unlikely that there will ever be a final again when so many Blues can get tickets. We will have more sponsors and JCLs in future and face opposition with bigger fan bases. Remember the standard allocation is a meagre 25k.

I've not agreed with the cup scheme. Im not in it due to money but have had a season ticket for 30 years. Am I a Jonny come lately? Or does the fact that some one could have seen aguero score 'that' goal, thought "i fancy a bit of that", bought a season ticket and joined the cup scheme. He, after having a season ticket for only one season, jumps in front of the queue of me?

Who's the Jonny come lately? Under the current situation the is absolutely no reward for loyalty.

Had you have joined the scheme then you would be miles in front of him. The criteria does reward those on the scheme with the most points first. If u didn't join the scheme and haven't gone to cup games due to cash situation what's your beef?

I have no beef other than 30 years loyalty isn't taken into account.first season ticket in 1982 when we were really shit.
My point is that someone has jumped on the band wagon, glory uh ter, and is immediately in front of me in the queue.
I knew This from day one though so no 'beef'. I've been to most of the cup games. Just can't risk the money been snaffled out of my account. Mortgage, kids, self employed etc etc means money is tight some months.
So... No complaints, looks like I'll miss out on wembley but hey ho.
My gripe is LOYALTY means nothing.
