A story about Chelsea making a profit, which is fair enough

but of course they have to have in the article how this contrasts with City who failed FFP.

No mention that City could also be OK this year when they release their accounts, no suggestion how lucky they have been to get ridiculous amounts for Luis and Mata to create this profit. Oh no, Chelsea the prefect football club model.

In 2011 Chelsea lost £67 million and then magically in 2012 (to make sure they would not fail FFP) they made a profit of £ 1.4 million, how convenient was that.

Will they be so lucky to get vast amounts for players from here on in to fund transfers ?

Maureens' face gets smugger by the minute.

Come on City wipe that smile off his arrogant face by beating Chelsea to the Title.

Yep just think if they didn't sell Luiz and lukaku for the combined fee of nearly 80m where there profit world be!??

I've just posted this in the ffp thread. Really snidey article in the sun about it giving chelsea some credit for making a profit. It will be interesting next season to see who they sell to make up for there shit revenue stream. First time in 10 years they've gone without a loss yet were on target for making a profit in 6 years, without having to rely on selling players. We will have the last laugh.

Any journalist with a brain, who is remotely interested in the facts of the matter, will look upon the Chelsea figures as evidence of City being able to comply with FFP, not fail it. The reasons that Chelsea have moved into profit are broadly shared by City going forward. Anyone who cannot see this is stupid.

Also an article in the Mail comparing spending per point gained. We are miles ahead of Chelsea which is the basic gist of the article.

Surprisingly enough they chose 2008 as the start point which meant the early spending of the Abramovich years was ignored. Also surprisingly enough they fail to mention that we started the period as a 9th placed team (Chelsea 2nd) and that we've won two league titles in the ensuing years (Chelsea 0).

Saturday's edition of The *** had a mock up picture of an aged Aguero on it with the caption "This is how Aguero will look when City win the CL" above his interview saying he's at City to win one to thank the fans.

Compare that to their fawning of "legend" Wooney saying he wants to win a WC with England.

Agenda/Bias it's there alright.

No offence mate but you are criticising Chelsea for maximising profits on transfer sales and having the foresight to reduce their deficit to make sure they would not fail FFP. It was not convenient just good foresight. We would be in a lot better situation if we had found better value in the market both ingoing and outgoing,.

Agree though it has failed to mention city will be of next year.

How the fook did Chelsea get that sort of money for Mata, lukaku and Luis !. All three combined are worth around the fee paid for Luis alone!..

Dodgy Russian mafia shit goin on there imo.

The fact that they are admitting that we will one day win the CL is actually a first from the British press.

North West Football Awards 2014

Player of the Season Premier League- Raheem Sterling

Manager of the Season - Sean Dyche

Lifetime Acheivement Award - Kenny Dalglish

Steph Houghton did win Womens player of the Season
Marco Lopes won Rising Star

Still feel MAnuel is not getting the recognition he deserves from winning a double in his first season, Also how Yaya never won player of the season is beyond me.

Last year, it was the old GPC, presumably based on the fact that MANUre won the title. City win the title and the award goes to the Championship! No doubt in my mind that wherever MANUre come in the PL this season, LvG will be NorthWest MotY in 2015! Absolutely shocking! Mind when yer look at the bunch o' judges it doesn't really surprise!
