I think what hacks some people off myself included is that anyone else who post info gets abuse / called a WUM, yet Tolmie can post just about anything and is supported.

I can't understand why people who think its all rubish just don't leave the transfer forum alone because 99% of it is just that.

Tbf mate, i think that MCRJON chap (i think that's his nick) is bang on the money and nobody would call him a kfa or wum, i see what your getting at though.

I watch for him (jon) and Akai as i simply very rarely visited TH's thread as it took ages to find his posts amongst other posters.

Add an invite system if possible. That way only decent posters will be allowed in, Maybe do it as a vouch system where if a member turns into a tit then they and the person vouching gets banned from the transfer forum.

That should create some respect in the system, the problem is what I can only describe as school kids who are now on holiday and are bringing the playground abuse and "banter" into a forum where there words fail to express the true meaning of what is being said.

While there are genuinely idiotic posters I think a lot of it is miss interpreted humour due to lack of written skills.

Isn't the nature of this arena to pass on gossip and personal opinion and as such shouldn't anything it contains be taken with a very large pinch of salt?

City are a multi-national billion dollar business, are we really naive enough to believe that anybody has access to the machinations of this business? Some people may be good at joining the dots and others may hear whispers (mainly of the Chinese variety it seems) but nobody would be daft enough to divulge sensitive information on a public forum.

I am sure there are some people that post 'news' in good faith, just as I am sure that there are some mischief makers at work but at the end of the day it's all a bit of fun and really not worth getting one's panties in a bunch over.

There is one that has a poster who is one of our current players' close friends (i.e. he can actually pick up the phone and talk to him).

Even HE doesn't get info on who our targets are etc., so quite how TH does I have no idea.

This other poster gets info only when the deal is done yet perhaps not announced to the press yet.

I can't see what possible harm is being done by people posting transfer gossip and speculation in a Forum that has been created for transfer gossip and speculation? As for ITKs, if you don't believe anybody gets any inside info, then that's just fine for you. Probably a bit pointless you being on here really?

Like everyone who comes on here (the transfer forum) I do so because I am both giddy and needy when it comes to who we ARE actually signing or who we ARE actually after.

However, I am also an adult and don't think that I have ever actually abused anyone on here (and in future I'll probably decide for myself where I go and where I don't. Ta all the same).

A sticky at the top of the transfer forum signed by Ric with the names of people he himself can vouch for or a mod/vip type user can vouch for.

A note with the names saying..

"These users have an elevated awareness of the possible incoming and out going players regarding us.
Their info as in all business is subject to change so please do not abuse the posters for info that doesn't come good, beyond that have fun :)"

As I said already back in the original first Quiet thread (is it three years ago?), why don't Tolmie and any other ITK get a thread of their own to post transfer stuff in, a read-only for the rest of the members?
We could then have an open discussion thread where we talk about whatever is posted in the ITK thread.

It would be good for several reason, ITK's will not have to read all the crap written about them and their posts, and it would make it sooo much easier for us others to keep up with new ITK posts.

No. Have I ever bet any money on a possible transfer based on anything I've read on here? No. I enjoy reading the speculation about who we may be signing and reading the opinions of fellow blues about whether they'd be a good signing or not, but I leave the mods to deal with the wums.
