So who will step up or do we need to buy?

With KdB, Nasri and Bony injured our attacking options are looking a bit sparse. If Merlin or (especially) Kun get injured then we will be really struggling.

Nacho is the obvious candidate but there is going to be space for subs slots at the very least. Who do people think would be the best option? Barker seems to have gone backwards but am not up to date with Roberts, Garcia or others. Could any of these do a good job yet or should we be looking at buying someone?

It may sound crazy but would Adebayor have been worth a short term deal? - I guess he probably burnt his bridges when he left but when he first arrived he was on fire and eclipsed Tevez.

I would love somebody to break through from the EDS but is that realistic?

I think that Nacho is pencilled in for Nasri’s CL squad spot. I don’t see us dropping anyone else from any other list even if KDB is out until mid April it would be very harsh to drop him from any squad list. So in short we have no room for any foreign players, I can’t think of an English trained player who we could get and would be worth getting!
We could use various EDS players and I would hope that Nacho gets a lot of game time as a result. Maybe Garcia, Celina and Roberts would get some sub appearances, they can all play Premier League and FA Cup.

Nasri was talking about being ahead of schedule and maybe being back around the international break in late March. I am dreading that tbh as at least one of our best players will come back crippled.

Nacho might take KDB's CL spot if the injury is bad. Roberts to Celtic would rule him out but if the role was holing one rather than attacking I could see Kean Bryan stepping up in an energency.

Haha! :D Mate, you are mint!

Adebayor hahahaha. I love it. Sign him up!

On a serious note though, I'm not sure that De Bruyne's story, this season, is completely over. We have some youngsters that could fill in too. I dunno, if the right player is available, I wouldn't be mad if we signed someone, but I'm not sure I can offer any great suggestions. Would feel like a panic buy, methinks.

Yes maybe Adebayor would be crazy now I have had time to think. It will be interesting to see how he goes at Palace. He was good enough to play for Real Madrid so there is a decent player in there somewhere. I guess that during City's dark times I developed a mad sense of optimism and hope that, despite all evidence to the contrary, some players will come good. I remember thinking that Tony Scully was the saviour, that it would be a good idea to sign (twat) Collymore after Villa bombed him out (I think Joe Royle considered it) and that Mario would knuckle down and become a superstar.

I guess in the old days City fans had to detach themselves from reality - I cannot seem to shake the habit and still fully expect Bony to become a superstar %-)
