So,there's a good chance it could happen.Unless it's one of Aubameyang, Griezmann, Dybala, or Sanchez I don't see it happening IMO
I guess I should have worded it that we should be expecting one of them if Kun leavesSo,there's a good chance it could happen.
I suspect Pep may see any of those names being more suitable to his requirements.I guess I should have worded it that we should be expecting one of them if Kun leaves
I agree with that. I think they would be too fwiw. But I do love Kun to death. Trust the manager!I suspect Pep may see any of those names being more suitable to his requirements.
It's doing the rounds in the media because it's us. I personally don't think Aguero will leave this summer unless we're certain another forward is obtainable at a similar price. Unless it's one of Aubameyang, Griezmann, Dybala, or Sanchez I don't see it happening IMO

If Sergio should go this summer if any team from the premier league come calling we should ask for nothing less than £125m cash, if a club should come up with a player + cash deal, then city should decide which players should come here. let's say it is Spurs we want Deli Alli +Harry Kane + £30m cash or no deal, if one player says no then there is no deal. For a club in Europe we want nothing less than £90m.

I don't rate any of those mentioned higher than Aguero plus I've no doubt we'd end up selling him at a lesser fee than we'd fork out for his replacement. He also regarded Bravo as more likely to keep the ball out of our net than Hart. I'm really struggling with the trade off on this one. It's not as if we're talking about an elephant like Ibrahimovic, plodding through the Premiership jungle and occasionally swishing his tail to stop flies landing on him. Aguero has significantly upped his work rate this season, he's strong, quick, reasonably mobile and he scores more than enough goals to compensate for any relatively minor shortcomings with his work rate. I'd be very reluctant to part with such a player, and that's without even starting on his immense commercial value to the club.

It doesn't add up for me. If Aguero wants to stay I'd like to think that the manager will have already took him to one side and explained exactly what's expected from him in the future. I'd also like to think that Pep has more confidence in a world class player being able to tweak his game enough to feature than a few in our fanbase.
I think that is the nub of the issue. Pep likes a player to be flexible and effective in more than one aspect of positional discipline. While Sergio fulfills the classic striker role better than anyone in the Prem, I think his ability to create, assist and help with the build up of play might be where Pep sees him as deficient. A player who may not be as good a striker but is able to contribute more in other areas and enable his teammates to score more goals would probably be a lot more valuable to the team in Peps eyes. Not sure how clever it would be to replace the best striker the Prem has ever seen with a player who is only a year younger and who hasn't scored nearly as many goals. I know stats don't show everything, but a strikers job is to score goals. Something which Sergio has done on a consistent basis at every level throughout his career. Aubameyang can't say the same and he isn't fit to lace Aguero's boots imo.
