Re: Battle of the Solo Artist - Marvin Gaye Vs James Brown
This is like City being drawn out of the bag for the third round of the FA Cup against a volleyball team; both sports but very different.
To be honest I don't listen to anything like Marvin Gaye. Too soft, too predictable (he's either in love or had his geart broken), too slow.
James Brown - whilst I still own nothing of his music - is more about the music, his voice is part of the music, rather than it being about his singing. Funk is, well, funky. There's definitely something there I like.
James Brown wins for me.
