Saw this on another forum and I've just copied the relevant bits.

43 - Carlos Tevez has scored 43 goals in the Premier League since he joined Manchester City on the eve of 2009/10; more than any other player.

34 - Manchester City have secured a top three finish in the top-flight for the first time in 34 years, since 1976/77.

8 - At the age of 20 years and 139 days old, Mario Balotelli became the eighth youngest player to score a hat-trick in the Premier League with his treble on 28th December 2010 against Aston Villa, and the youngest since Luke Moore in 2005/06

9 - Carlos Tevez scored the first goal of the game on nine occasions in the Premier League this season; more often than any other player.

20 - The top goalscorer award was shared by Carlos Tevez and Dimitar Berbatov, the first time it has been shared since 1998-99 (Owen/Hasselbaink/Yorke 18)

5 - Carlos Tevez scored the most braces (two goals) this season, five times.

9 - Manchester City won the most penalties, scoring with eight of them.

8 - Manchester City scored the most deflected goals this season (eight).

15% - Manchester City were the least successful crossers in the top-flight in 2010-11, with only 15% of the wide deliveries reaching a team-mate.

76.4% - Joe Hart had the best saves-to-shots ratio of any regular goalkeeper in 2010-11.

10 - Three players managed 10 shots in a single game this season. Samir Nasri for Arsenal at home to WBA, Andy Carroll for Newcastle at home to Man City and Daniel Sturridge for Bolton at home to West Ham.

55 - 55% of Manchester City's goals this season arrived in the first half of matches; a Premier League high.

24 - Manchester City scored the most goals in the opening half an hour of matches in the Premier League this campaign (24).

Someone posted them on a Newcastle forum. I thought about Baines myself when I saw that stat. I think I read somewhere that he has the most assists from crosses for the last 3 seasons.

So baines crossing from the left and Sanchez from the right to supply dzeko could be a very successful combination.

Sanchez isn't a crosser mate, by any stretch of the imagination. He needs to work on that. But then again, he's not an out and out winger like someone like Young, Mata, etc. Cheers. :)

I know Sanchez will bring us pace and that's something we need but shouldn't we be looking for someone with a delivery for dzeko? When iv seen Mata he's played more of a role like silva(drifting in to the middle a lot) but then again iv only seen him play a few times.

Let Juan Mata teach you how to cross a ball ;)

Niceone, so he fits the bill.
For me mata/silva/Sanchez behind any of our strikers would be unstoppable.

There is this fallacy that Dzeko can only thrive with 2 wingers supplying crosses. That wasn't the case at Wolfsburg and it won't be here. Put the ball in the right area from any position, and he will score goals.
