I know it'a over still I cling, I don't know where
Heading off to France on Saturday, getting the boat from Portsmouth about 8pm.
So I want somewhere to stop for a bite to eat with the wife and kids about an hours drive from Portsmouth. Nothing fancy, a family pub off a motorway junction, a Chiquitos or Frankie & Benny... that sort of thing.

Any ideas Bluemooners, just been looking on a map and I'm not familiar with towns like Winchester etc. So any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Just been checking their site and there's a Frankie and Bennys at Fareham , Eastleigh , Southampton and Portsmouth itself.

There's also two Chiquitos in the Portsmouth area , and one in Southampton.

you can sit and watch the isle of wight ferries go buy, short walk from mary rose and h.m.s victory if you have time to kill.

right on the roundabout before you turn into ferry port is a Brewers Fayre (or something similar) or if you going on Brittany Ferries try wait to you get on board
