But do you think that Lescott may have had a strop because he was asked to play left back?
Personally I think that Joleon could make a superb left back, but he's like Richards in a sense that he feels he should be a natural centre back. If you remember, he was asked by Moyes to play left back once and threatened not to play, so do you think that this may have occured again?

OR, has he pulled out, telling the club he's injured because he doesn't want to take any abuse from blue dippers on wednesday? Sorry for sounding like a conspiracy theorist, but I was just disgussing this with some other blues yesterday, so what are the thoughts of blues here?

Nothing personal it just seems hard to believe!

Just overcomming injury and starting to hit form in world cup year and then feign injury so as not to play left back or face the blue dippers!!!

We are playing Everton at home as well you know were Im sure we would have helped him through it if he was struggling!

I think he will be gutted hes injured again!!

I agree he probably will be gutted, I was just throwing some ideas in, could he be doing it on purpose?

I won't have a dig at you, mate. I understand where you're coming from. But I honestly don't think he's engineered anything so he doesn't play at left back, or so that he doesn't figure against his old club.
It's just one of those odd, quirky things that happen from time to time.

Besides, do we know for a fact that he fell out with Gollum over his refusal to play on the left instead of his favoured position?

David Moyes and the truth are hardly on first-name terms, after all.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion.
However if you and your mates would think for one moment that Lescott could jeopordise his chances of a SA WC place and a chance to put one over his old manager, you need to look at the overall picture.
And then you wonder why we have a go at our own fans !!

probably not done on purpose. although he did miss the away game. if your right about this your a secret genius.

Nah, not the same trust me, just ask LCBlue and Rach, anyway, I use dots, hence the S.E.H compared to whp, ;)

There's no doubt that some of the EFC squad will have swallowed the celtic bile (taste?) emanating from their manager and would love to 'do' Jole good and proper. Wouldn't put it past the Moyes to run on the pitch and kick Joleon himself.

I expect that Roberto will be the model of graciousness whatever the result on Wednesday, compared to that misbegotten specimen in the away match.

So are all those "doubters" who made insinuations about Lescotts "injury", now going to apologise and retract their original statements ??
Do you honestly feel that at any time Lescott was going to "feign injury",just to stop playing against his old club ??
A minimum of 5 weeks on the sidelines has certainly shit on your terrible thinking of the guy.
Hurry up JL and get back soon.
You had just started to prove Mark Hughes doubters wrong. You were coming back into your previous best.
I accept that we paid over the odds, but thats already been covered on other threads.
Shame on those who doubted you were "feigning injury" !!!!!!!!!!!!!
