Slagging us off about ticket sales.

we sold at least 2300 for a sunday morning kick off. When have they ever turned up in numbers except for the first game last year.

no wonder they called scummers. Always preferred pompey, proper fans compared to them in my book.

It would help if the club would stop declaring a sellout weeks in advance of the fixture when the truth is we have taken the minimum allocation and sent the rest back. This is happening too often.

I don't think what they put was too bad. Maybe because we are challenging for titles they expect us to compete with United and Liverpool in terms of mass support but that's not the case. We have a good hardcore fan base but not huge in numbers. Probably on the same level as Everton, Spurs, Newcastle etc and they would have exactly the same issue with a Sunday kickoff, live on tv at the other end of the country.

Our away support is up there with the best of them, end of.

Without question but our volume of support is nowhere near as high as United, Liverpool and arsenal which is what I think the Southampton fans are comparing us by. Given the circumstances I would say it's a decent amount of tickets sold and as far as I remember I don't recall Southampton filling the away section at the Etihad or Maine road.

munich home
saints away
mackems away
rome away
=
app £160 plus poor transport connections plus transport costs

thats the problem

It's gratifying to see our 'proper' fans keeping the flag flying on behalf of everyone else...

Can't praie enough the supporters who put in such effort to support our team. I used to be one but too old now.
