Spanish FA President Luis Rubiales | Resigns (p 34)

Why has the coach been fired ? Not the twat who did the assault ?
Because they are trying to throw as many sacrificial lambs to the slaughter as possible in an attempt to preserve their horrible leadership.

That said, Vilda is a ****, as well, so glad he is gone.

Thanks , shame for the women that this shit show has taken away from them being world champions
I think, as much as it is unfortunate that their accomplishment is being overshadowed in the short term, if we do get the full reckoning and purge of the corrupt, misogynistic leadership with the FA, the women (and many of the male membership) will see this as worth it.

Real change often requires sacrifice and, whilst it is not fair, this seems to have been the moment this change could be pushed for, and I am proud of the women (and the men supporting them) for taking on the FA.

If only the English women and men would do the same (for admittedly different reasons, though, it’s not like there isn’t misogyny in the ranks of the English FA that needs addressing, as well).

Surely could of have been avoided - Should have spoke to her face to face straight away and apologised before it completely spiralled out of control.

Someone has Euro signs. That’s why she’s been told to file a complaint.

He’s a slimy piece of shit, but this is going the way it was meant to go as soon as it started to snowball.

It’s been a farce.

Oh well, long term it’ll reduce blokes grabbing girls and snogging them ‘in celebration’

That’s a positive

No, he has needed to go, and for some time before all of this took place, because of his many accusations of sexual misconduct spanning many years, how he handled the women’s team’s complaints against Vilda and his staff ahead of the WC, and his (and his predecessor’s) wholly corrupt management of the FA in general.

Bit odd that he decided to announce his resignation in an exclusive to Piers Morgan, but was obvious that his position had become untenable.
