Has anyone else noticed that players don't acknowledge a foul anymore? I'm sure there used to be a thing where if a player was taken out by an opponent they would slap hands or whatever after it was done and dusted, nowadays they just trot off arrogant as fuck without a sign of apology, hardly an improvement to the game imho

Because they all know they’re not actually fouled, and that they’ve just gone to ground like the wet Fannie’s that they are.

You do still see it when someone has gone in hard on another player though. It happened the other week but I can’t think who it was.

Probably because players are either coached or just pick up from more experienced teammates that they are expected to dispute virtually every decision the referee ever gives against them.

It’s not because they hope to change the referee’s mind. It’s to try and put doubt in his mind that he’s made the wrong decision.

And not a single manager will ever call it out because he fears it would give the opponents a slight edge. They prefer to put as much pressure as possible on the officials and then call them out when they think they’ve been hard done to.

You end up with a trainer running on the pitch to treat an injured player, that the manager knows isn’t really injured and instead of blaming the player, sacks the trainer for her naivety.

Having said all that, on the odd occasion when a player is seriously injured, you do normally see human nature kick in and players from both sides showing immediate concern.

The dive from the red rat last night and the Wigurn player stood there remomstrating and protesting his innocence to the rat
If that had happened on Hough End in my day, ratty would have been chinned and a mass brawl would have broken out
I very surprised that a Wigurn player didn't go after fernandez and "do" him. The cheating ****
