tempo too slow. Never got in amoungst them. Barry slow, dzeko not good enough. Lescott not up to it. Need a decent left full, should have started balo. Bla bla bla. Can't wait for matchday thread :-)
roll on kick off.

We know how the team can play, so if we play bad, we should know better than blame Mancini! we need to remember that the players can actually take some blame too when we lose.

but in here its never the players fault, its always Mancini.

Seriously think we will demolish them tomorrow, after seeing them vs scum they have no threat and their defence wil not be able to cope with our strength it will be 4-1 to city

Sorry mate loving your optimism BUT Spurs were well and truly in the game for the first hour against the Rags and looked dangerous going forward. They are gonna go throw everything at us tomorrow to try and prove a point so we need to be on our guard big time BUT for the first time in being a blue I dont fear anyone and believe we can nick a 2-1 win BUT by no means will it be an easy game

Voice back of my head saying a draw wouldn't be a bad result.

On the other hand don't want to finish August anywhere but top of the league for the psychological advantage going into the break it would give us.

Really tough, struggling to decide what I would be happy with.. not an easy place to go to by any means.

Anyway we'll see how wrong the OP is if we lose (re: not if we play badly, mind) - there are some miserable feckers on here.

Re: the game..

I think that if we play like we did away at Bolton - which if we're honest, not many were confident going there and dominating/playing such great attacking football - then we should show them up a lot more than the rags did at the swamp.

Which, I predict, will put as at the top of both the prem and the critics "who will win the league" poll.

Fail, and the same headlines will be dragged up from the start of last season, mainly because most journos are lazy, but also because they will see everything the way they want to (a bit like the aforementioned doom mongers on here..)

Mancini will win 'Manager of the Year' this season, such will be the expansive nature of our football.
Nah, Baconface will win it again, such will be the expansive nature of our arse-licking Rag media.

I dont understand this mancini gets rammed for last season not attacking enough for one we didint have enough players to do that he gets some in, we play glorious attacking football then people are critisising him fof losing goals you cant have everything in life make a choice and stick to

We'll twat these today.

Their midfield is terrible and if our fullbacks can keep hold of their wingers, it could be a cricket score.

I see you only joined recently and assume you did not read the forums last year.

Mancini is our own marmite, love or hate him. Pick a side and don't dare change because you WILL be reminded ;)

(I am in the love camp)

The only thing that worries me about Spurs is Dawson. He's an excellent defender, and sometimes he just has those games where he becomes a Spartan and near single-handedly keeps a clean sheet.

Their midfield of Kranjcar and Livermore is Championship quality, IF Jenas does make a return, that improves them to "lower midtable" quality. Jenas and Modric together is a solid midfield though, but nobody knows how much either will play if at all.

Walker and Lennon on the right against Clichy (and Barry who will drift to cover) will be a good battle. Clichy has Lennon like pace, so once you match him in this department and have GB covering, I'm confident enough on that. If there is ONE danger area where they could hurt us, it's down this wing.

Bale vs Richards is a no brainer, and as in every other Spurs match, Richards will sow him into his pockets.

Their strikers are meh. Their keeper is alright, but not a game winner.

They have a team that we can "cope with". Now, we have Aguero, Tevez, Silva and Nasri attacking supported by Toure and Milner, with the steel of Lescott/Kompany in defence and Hart in net. We have a team that they cannot "cope with".

I'd be very surprised if we didn't win this one. I wouldn't be surprised if we won by a margin.
