Spurs (A) | FA Cup | Post Match Thread

Pep's tactical set up was perfect. Redolent of City two seasons ago.
We play much better football without Haaland, here, I said it!
Rodri needs to regain his composure, it affects his games in a bad way.
Kovacic was sublime, played like it was Croatia in the WC.
Foden is indispensable to us, might be the reason why Pep stopped subbing him and allowing him to play all over the pitch. Needs to be watched from the terraces to actually appreciate what the lad does off and on the ball for us.
Gvardiol exceptional in his movement and positioning, never seen a chunky defender playing such an offensive role, was extremely poor at passing.
Kyle terrified him with his positioning in their first attempt at CA, but he pulled himself together after that.
Jeremy looks very often as a player who strayed on from an adjacent pitch/game.
And finally, can we always take 9K blues to North London?
We won the treble because of Haaland. If he had played tonight we would have been 3-0 up at half time.

Not a football tactician, far from it, but I'm loving the way we are capable of grinding out a result, like all good sides have done in the past. The football is sublime at times, of course, but that doesn't necessarily guarantee you a win, the camaraderie and team spirit is the thing that impresses me most about our current squad.
We are constantly evolving, there's a fluidity to our development that even I can see.
Peps post match presser was just class, we are blessed.
They tried to make it all about klopp but he turned it round by showing him nothing but respect.
I've never felt prouder to be blue tonight.
Love to you all x

Bossed it first half and should have scored. The space they left wide was criminal. We should have probably capitalised on that a bit more. Thought the lino getting his battery’s changed stopped our momentum (conveniently). Second half was scrappy but we mixed it up and never looked in trouble. Props to Kovacic, pep had a word with him first half and he started carring the ball a lot more. Helped us break the lines and get at their defence. If he can carry on with that bravery he’ll be a great asset.

Good on you, went to the 81 final and replay as a 16 year old, gutted wasn't the word...
The replay journey home was interesting. Our minibus stopped at a pub in St Albans and after word got round we were there a load of cockney reds turned up.

All that pent up anger at the result and the shit that went down in our end was duly visited upon the twats. They literally didn't know what hit 'em. Coppers were sound and escorted us back to the M1.

Them was the days.

I know I moan about being clinical but we are creating a ton of chances again. The hunger is there. Few players didn’t play great but we are looking like our old selves again.

Well done to pep and the players.

Let’s see how far we get this season.
