Spurs (A) Post match Thread

It wasn't a great game to watch and it was a shame that two of the best teams in the league had to play on that pitch. That said, we did the business.

Spurs did what they always try and do and run through teams and I was pleased we stood up to that. They had 1 good chance and a half chance so I think it is fair to say we were the better team - D.SIlva, Fern and Ederson were excellent and I am very pleased that Marhez scored

I think Liverpool play away at Arsenal next week whereas we play at home to Southampton. Hopefully we will open up a gap this weekend

Maybe my eyes are deceiving me in my ‘winter’ years but have we been breached. Quite a few ‘bizarre’ posts regarding the game, the outcome, the players, and luck?
Sincere question?

Hmmm. The unnecessary and frankly ludicrous rag comparison has me thinking you may not be all that first appears.
Slight sniff
Edit: read it back in case I was being unkind, and then noticed the subtle pricetag mention.
Larger sniff
I reckon there’s a few got in!

Tough watch. The poorest we have played in a couple of years. Passing was sub standard due to the pitch (I hope) and Mendy and Walker were terrible. Saved by our centre backs and keeper and Fernandinho's positioning. Bernardo and Silva did what they could to control things. Bernardo or Laporte deserve MOTM for me. Bernardo ran so much in the final 20 to close them down and prevent them scoring when Mahrez and Sterling had somewhat given up expending energy.

Fernandinho is so key to us and it was no surprise to see pundits and media outlets pointing out his breaking of the game up. There isn't a derby game coming up is there???

Didn't think we were anywhere near our best but on a pitch like that it's not surprising. Just a get the points and get the fuck out of there situation really given the conditions. Great shame that one of the highlight games of the prem season between two really good footballing teams should be played on a pitch like that. Should never have been allowed to happen. I don't think there was ever a chance the match was going to be played at WHL, I think they've been deceiving everyone over the whole thing for ages imo. Spurs should have been held way more accountable.
