I want my team to create chances so we have more opportunities to score. And if we are the team that create chances it means the opponent has less chances to score.
It's like I am listening to Johan Cruyff all over again. Simple and so very true.

It just sometimes seems like he'd try and refine his ideas forever rather than accept any flaws in them.
For example he has said that his idea of winning the ball back as quickly as possible and creating as many opportunities as possible will NEVER change. Well what if maintaining a solid defensive line for a bit longer and winning the ball back later would be safer than attempting to win it back so quickly and failing, leaving spaces behind because players are not in position after closing down so quickly. I just want him to be a bit more open and flexible to different ideas and not just his one script with small tweaks.
Your interpretation of Peps football philosophy seems rather limited.
The football he had Bayern playing was completely different to the style he adopted at Barca, and I'm fairly certain the style he eventually settles on with us will be different again. When he does settle on our style of play it won't be as one dimensional as you suggest either but will come with various options depending on the opposition.
I sense a strange need from you to find problems in our current set up as considering we are only 11 meaningful games into his stewardship and we are unbeaten and have won 10.
Surely we should all be just enjoying the ride and offer up criticism(which I'll be one of the first to do) when there's something worth criticising.

I'm torn for what team I want to see in this game. I want us to press them high, so Sterling and Navas are the obvious choices on either wing, but I don't rate Sterling on the left. Nolito is so crucial to our team. Next to nobody sees it, but he really is. He's the only guy that plays well from the left, whilst also being able to press. Sterling on the right has been too good to switch him over to the left, but I don't like our options on that side without Nolito. Sané has not done enough to warrant a start yet.

Spuds are not as dangerous at home without Kane, I think 1-0 nils first two games. Unless we do anything silly I see us winning this game, I will leave team selection and tactics to Pep, I think he is better qualified than me, and, some of the wise posters on here :-)

My guess is that Pep has thoroughly researched Spurs, knows how they will play, and has a plan to deal with it. You can't ask for more. Poor quality refs and sheer bad luck can't be catered for.
