You can’t always expect City to have to be 20 or 30% better than another team in every game to win them.

Many teams manage to play at 1% more and get wins.

So yes, if we play out of our skin and score five then it’s harder for the ref to influence the game. But this is football and real life and sometimes that means we’d win by a single goal with correct decisions.

in the first game at infield we weren't the best team...they deserved to win....first half especially we were poor.

Second half vs Liverpool at home again we were poor. probably burnt out......but the ref didnt score those goals that liverpool did and neither did the ref score the 3 that our calamitous defending did against utd.

Second half vs Utd...defensively we were a shambles (Pep even said he made a mistake and changed something - he didnt elaborate on what he changed)

a game can be lost in a half of football as when you are chasing against teams like utd (who are defensively well organised most of the time) or against liverpool who are as good as anyone playing on the break, giving them a head start means you have a mountain to climb.

sterling scores his chances we wouldn't be having this debate about the utd game.....he missed cause he isn't good enough in that role (and i don't believe he will ever be, he just doesn't have the composure) and the rest of our forwards are misfiring as well (and no Kun)

Pep has said time and time again (and after all 3 of the recent games) that its about being clinical in the boxes....we weren't good enough in those areas in any of those games.

Bury your head in the sand, blame refs all you like (every team can do that) but the ONLY way we get better is by looking at what we can do better as a team/individual players.....we cannot control ref mistakes and even when VAR comes in there are still going to be errors at times.

This is where Pep needs to instil belief and motivate the side. This is where he really needs to show his tactical nouse throughout this game. Come on blues let’s do this!

Not content with Pogba having the freedom of our half strolling away from Gunjogan last weekend, he's now put him in Fern's role.

Gundogan really needs to pull his finger out and quickly because all too often he's getting lost in games and becoming a passenger. It's not as as Pogba was dynamic and burst through the midfield last week, it was an unmarked saunter at very best. If I'm been honest I think I'd rather have a deep lying Kev than Gundo, as his excellent footballing brain and reading of the game is far superior.
