But what was he doing when he was back in training prior to his return? Wasn't that supposed to help him get back to match fitness?

Yes, but its not like that in reality. Remember KDB when he came back last year he suffered a few muscle injuries. Maybe these games not having the same importance we are taking less risks with laporte and Mendy hoping they’ll be stronger for the back end of the season.

A draw won't be too shabby in my view. Spurs aren't great but we are so patchy generally and with a makeshift defence I don't see us winning convincingly.

Have to agree,hoping we win of course but can see it being a draw,we unfortunately have been inconsistent at times this season,still creating chances but like midweek not sticking them away and then getting sucker punched by the opposition..
