exactly the most important leg is the first leg, especially playing a team from the same country, saying that if we could score pens we would be through.
 
Well that was tough at the end. I think we were the better team over the 2 legs but i’ve got no issues with the VAR. We’ve been crying out for it after being shafted so many times, I think both decisions were correct.
Typical City, we would likely have beaten Liverpool last season had VAR been used.
Let’s see what this team are made of now.
 
Sane played 13 mins of 180 ???....great effort tonight but really missed Ferdaninho on front of the back 4
 
Absolutely deflated.

Brilliant performance by the lads to get us within touching distance of the semifinal, but ultimately it just wasn’t good enough. Pep's unfathomable tactics in the first leg cost us, but we were brilliant tonight. Just such a shame that we couldn’t pull it off.

Our nine year-old grandson was at his first CL game tonight, and he was in tears when Spurs scored their second and when our "fifth" went in. It will make him stronger.
 
Worst I've ever felt after a match Var means you will never be safe to celebrate a goal again haha.

Laporte should be ashamed of this first half performance I don't give a fuck how good he was this season, when we needed him most he self destructed just glad it wasn't the final.

Hate spurs but fair play you scored 3 goals away from home any team that does that deserves to go through. Son is better than Kane.
 
My take - when you see opportunity (i.e. oppo playing shite - first leg) take it, as success is money banked in the event of unexpected/poor decisions or performance when it comes to the crunch moments.

Minimising risk without overcommitting, but being confident in your ability when you have it.

Pep did muck up gambling on the last game. We had a stinker defensively first half. Can't legislate for that - it happens - but don't pin all on one game too many times unless you absolutely have to.

Very proud of the attitude - what a game. And while disappointed, strangely not heartbroken despite the once in a lifetime chance of quad gone.

Life goes on and many things to do yet. Chin up everyone.

Let's face it - we could be the rags. :-) x

His forearm muscles rippled just as it hit his thigh - don't think they would do that if ball hadn't hit the arm first. Still, what's done is done.
 
This is such an unusual feeling. It's a kick in the gut but my adrenaline is still going

I don't think Pep is to blame. I could see what his thinking was going into the first leg. I think he saw something that could be exploited with wingers cutting inside and that's why he played Mahrez instead of Sane (Prob would have started Bernardo but he was injured). Fernandinho and Gundogan just to keep us a bit more solid in the middle and Silva to help regain possession.

The second leg we played outstanding. Went out after some shit bad luck and a couple individual errors. We all know the margins are so small in the CL that one error can be fatal and it showed tonight.

Onward and upward. We've got a massive week ahead of us so I hope the players and fans don't get too disheartened

There is a domestic treble that is there for the taking, we need to seize the moment.

Just got in what can I say I’m gutted to be out on away goals and to end so cruelty as well after getting that goal but it is what it is we gave everything tonight. Get the 3 points on Saturday now is all that matters. We’re Man City we fight till the end!

Otamendis was harsh but arguable .... rose was in an unnatural position... llorentes was in a natural position in my opinion
