Concede three at home and you’re asking for trouble
Close but not for me. The ball hits his arm but he makes no movement towards the ball then it goes in off his thigh.
But bloody hell the offside was harsh. Half a shoelace? That’s level to me.
Absolutely deflated.
Brilliant performance by the lads to get us within touching distance of the semifinal, but ultimately it just wasn’t good enough. Pep's unfathomable tactics in the first leg cost us, but we were brilliant tonight. Just such a shame that we couldn’t pull it off.
Our nine year-old grandson was at his first CL game tonight, and he was in tears when Spurs scored their second and when our "fifth" went in. It will make him stronger.
Just home. Absolutely knackered. Great atmosphere but so gutted still. I don’t think I’ll ever celebrate a goal again when var is involved. I was hugging and kissing hairy arsed strangers then POW! All taken away and as well as being gutted, I felt like a right idiot. I bet all the staff in the corner did too. Hate var. it’s going to totally ruin the match day experience from now onMassive appreciation to all those who attended tonight - what an atmosphere. You must all be absolutely shattered and hoarse.
There were so many events that could have changed the tie. We had a good three or four more golden chances to score today. Had the wind blown differently we might have gone through...
Seriously though, we’d have struggled again in the next round or two. That back four simply isn’t good enough to win the Champions League. Our other players pull us through the Premier League. But we have not been solid enough defensively to reliably defend a slender lead since Mancini.
If we’re serious about winning this thing then we should go all out for Koulibaly and bring in two more quality full-backs. That’s on top of replacing Fernandinho and, most likely, Gundogan.
And Ederson...Laporte Spurs best player, completely bottled it tonight.
Laporte bottled the occasion and Ederson was poor. David Silva is declining at an alarming rate now, which is sad to see.
Ederson came and flapped at the first corner before the second one from the other side went in.
I thought the rest of the lads were bloody brilliant and very proud they got a deserved victory on the night.
Walker had another good game.
I have been someone who called for VAR and from what I’ve heard it was correct decision to disallow Sterling’s goal, but I’m now getting worried it could kill football, fans are going to become scared to celebrate goals and also the players. The main reason people go to the game is in the hope they can celebrate goals,

He makes no movement towards the ball?
He jumps in the air towards the ball in order to make contact with the ball.
Just back from the game. First of all we should be so proud of that team, what a spectacle that was.
Was disappointed to see so many Spurs fans occupying quality seats in L2, but there were no issues
Mentioned it in another thread, it's already effected my reaction as my focus goes to the ref after we have scored. The one at the end I got lost in the heat of the moment and then bang.. gone from ecstasy to despair. Take emotion out of football and you may aswell just watch it on the box.I have been someone who called for VAR and from what I’ve heard it was correct decision to disallow Sterling’s goal, but I’m now getting worried it could kill football, fans are going to become scared to celebrate goals and also the players.
