This is something I've been thinking about lately, the Centurions were great attacking wise but we always seemed more vulnerable at the back than this team with Stones Dias partnership, although I haven't checked the statistics. I think this is a better team, as crazy as thats sounds, and I know I might be getting ahead of myself here, I think Guardiola has built a team strong enough to have a good shot at the Championsleague this season
I agree with all that and add to that there is no outstanding team in Europe. Bayern look a shadow of themselves and the rest are pretty average teams. Anything can happen in the knockouts as we know but this is a fantastic opportunity for us to finally win it.This is something I've been thinking about lately, the Centurions were great attacking wise but we always seemed more vulnerable at the back than this team with Stones Dias partnership, although I haven't checked the statistics. A big factor could also be if we can build on our lead during the next few weeks, unlike 2 years ago when Pep went to Spurs away with a league game also in mind he’d be able to really prioritise late in the season.
