true, but that wasn’t really his fault. Bernardo should have started in the middle and Grealish on the left. If Bernardo is indeed off, he shouldn’t be on the bench taking up a spot

By a mile. Made all our other players look like Championship players when he came on for that short cameo.

Big shout to Gundogan who was left out to dry with Grealish taking up such a wide position and neither Mendy nor Sterling coming into midfield to help him. Was Gundo v 3 at all times, he tried, did well where he had any time (hardly ever, mind) but was up against an impossible task today.

Santos sussed Pep out after 15 minutes and dropped his players into the space that Grealish was leaving and they took over the game from then on in.

He had his chance. A natural striker would have put that in. All that was required was an open foot instead of trying to poke it with the front.
