They certainly picked the worst possible time to be relying on big gates to pay off building a stadium...I think they're in serious financial difficulties. They have to pay off £150m very soon and they don't have it. I reckon part of the reason why the ESL was rushed through was to get this initial pot of "infrastructure" money quickly. I reckon a few clubs really needed it but Spurs needed it desperately, because that new stadium isn't bringing in any money but is sucking loads out.
Would be such a shame if the ESL falling through completely wrecked them financially.
