Spurs Thread - 2023/24

I think Arsenal and Liverpool will edge past them, glad they have managed to play well without Harry.
They may get a cup to boot, will help lure other players for a proper league attempt next year.... That is unless they have a good season this year.
Look certain for CL. Good luck to 'em!

There is a long way to go and Ange will not be doing mental poultry arithmetic. However, it is clear to see the improvement and at last Spurs fans are actually reducing their feeling of utter boredom and zero hope. They have hope. They fir the most part recognise it won’t be a cakewalk, but they have shown they can compete. They won’t get anywhere near the title, you lot are just a class above, but top 4 could be possible and a good run in the FA Cup is possible as the teams in the CL don’t give a fuck about it.

I am enjoying the ride too. Not for Spurs, for Ange.

The guy is a good fucking manager; that much is clear. He very well may get them something this year unless they do the usual Spursy shite. Maybe not top 4 but a good cup run and a good run at #5. And of course the obligatory win over City with Son having his usual fucking Messi performance against us.
Hate Spurs since '81 but I kind of want them to do ok under Ange. I like the fucker.
Grrrr

I think they’ll finish 4th, behind us, Arsenal and Liverpool. Hopefully Villa or Newcastle get 5th to leave the rag shit without a CL spot.

Playing some good stuff and I wonder whether they'd have been as good with Kane in the side. They press intensely which he can't do. Their midfield has been so much better with Bissouma looking back to his best (I know he was suspended for last night) and Sarr's physical dynamism. They've got Bentancur to come back in as well, and their season fell apart with his injury last time around. He's a great box to box player and will improve them further.

Thought postecoglou's post match comments were interesting, he does seem to know what he's doing and, if allowed to, might actually turn them into viable competitors. I'm ok with them having hope as long as that hope is ultimately dashed in the way that my own teenage ones were by them.

They look more balanced and there seems to be a better team spirit under Ange. In their favour they are out of the league cup and have no European games. At the moment they are playing with zero pressure and without fear. That will change a la Arsenal last year, if around end of March they are still in with a shout of the title. With their thin squad it will be a hard task.

I think they will be top five.

I will leave that right here.

Have to be taken seriously in my opinion.
Postecoglou has transformed them in terms of playing style and mentality.
Some shrewd signings and they are no longer relying on Kane.
One game a week and they have been known to take a decent amount of points off us over the course of a season.
They’ve already taken points off the dippers, the arse and United.
People dismissing can’t see past the Spursy tag.

This is the big one for me. It's a massive advantage to have.

I think we smash them home and away this season, anyway.

I don't think they have the high level talent and mentality to win the league just yet. They will finish top 5 though, and then further refine their squad through the transfer windows

Postecoglou is a serious manager. Without him, they have nothing. If he was raised in Europe he would've already been in the highest bracket of managers in world football years ago. He would do a tremendous job for us if he ever came over and I hope we throw the bank at him if and when Pep leaves.

If I was posto I'd tell levy to do everything he can to get Mitomo from Brighton put him on that left instead of Richarlison they could win the title
