Spurs Thread - 2023/24

Why can’t spurs win it? We have a decent squad with depth in most positions. No midweek football. A great manager. It is just lazy wishful thinking to simply write us off. We’ll get six points off you tossers. That’s 9 points you have to make up on us. Maybe you can do it. Maybe you can’t.

You haven't got the depth if you get key players injured. We'll see now it looks like you've copped a few. Also just like we had typical City you still have typical Spursy. Tonight was a perfect example, coasting then lost all composure and discipline.
As for getting six points from us it's possible, you've been stuffy enough to do so in the past in spite of being played off the park in almost every game. We still won the league though. Oh and now it's a point you have to make up on us so far.

Fair play to him for the high line. Really high risk but they were close to getting the reward. There was no way they were going to even have a chance of an equaliser had they not continued to employ it and going for a 2-2 (he’d have flipped away from the high line had they scored) despite risking a battering is a very refreshing thing to see.

Thought he spoke very well after the game too and I’m entirely in agreement with him on his sentiments on refereeing.

You can't win it because all our players are better than yours and out manager is miles better.

Other than that, yeah, you're well in the running.

Arf.

Its the 'thats 9 points you have to make up on us' that makes me laugh. They finished 29 points behind us last year and sold their best player in the meantime.

Not sure about that to be honest. Chelsea were looking more dangerous before the penalty and sending off. Even then it was 1-1 (as it was when they went down to 9) so they didn't need to get an equaliser at that stage. They could have sat deeper and tried to hit Chelsea on the counter. Might not have worked but the high line didn't either.
