Playing Doyle at 6 isn’t playing to his strengths, move Hodge up from the 18s to play 6 which will free up Doyle. Simples.....

Doyle battled manfully but Rogers and Bernarbe struggled. Bernarbe put himself about, to be fair. Rogers was a bit passive.

I have heard about Hodge and that he is highly rated. Cannot understand why a specialist centre midfielder did not play alongside Doyle. Having watched McDonald two or three times last year, I think he would have fared well. He certainly would not have lacked physically against the Spurs midfield.
