McNair is no more a rag academy player than Pozo is ours. He joined them when he was 16 from a Northern Irish team, just as Pozo joined us at 16 from a Spanish team. Neither would be HG by Dyke's new proposals of needing to play in the country for 3 years before they're 18.RyanP3609 said:Belfast_city said:According to ssn the last academy player to start for city was 6 years ago,can someone please confirm or deny. I think they were talking about the last British academy player to play for us.
It did however go on to say ALL the other teams have played a British academy player, showing that Arsenal have brought one player on at the end of a game they were winning 4-1, and that Chelsea brought on Loftus-Cheek against us at the end of the game. So both were only for a couple of mins at the end of matches.
It then showed that the scum have had 3 players (Blackett/McNair and one other) who have played at some point (McNair playing 12 games) - but blissfully ignores the fact that the only reason they played as much as they did was due to the scum having something of an injury crisis in defence, and spunking huge amounts on attacking players rather than addressing their defence.
It also blissfully ignored Liverpool altogether.... yet again it seems like we're the bad guys, but I'm used to it now, so fuck em. We know after spending what we've spent on the academy that in 5-10 years time (if not sooner) we'll hopefully have really good players coming through the ranks...
