Standout Live Performances that hit you.

The Smiths. Salford Uni. 1986. Blagged in pretending to be on the guest list. Van Halen 1978 at the Appollo was memorable.

Don’t know which night you went to but they were awful on first night and I believe Stipe apologised to the crowd for it next night.

Far from being best vocalist I’ve seen.
I went on the second night I think. I’ve seen REM at least 10 times live and 100s of other bands. It’s my opinion that Stipe is the best vocalist. Obviously it’s only my opinion.

Loads but a few that I usually mention:

The Who @ Belle Vue 1974
Kiss @ FTH
Van Halen @ Madison Sq Garden 1981
Queen @ Bingley Hall DATR tour
Springsteen @ Wembley ‘85
Rainbow @ FTH
Oasis @Maine Rd
Zep @ Knebworth
Lynyrd Skynyrd @ FTH
Rush @ FTH
Garth Brooks @ NEC

Mercury and Plant are best I’ve seen. George Michael was brilliant with Queen at Mercury Tribute when it comes to memorable live performances.

Roger Waters in Dublin last year was mind blowingly good.
I didn’t think he could top his Wall Tour, but this was better.

He doesn’t like Trump.
There were a few hints in the nights performance.

The finest finale I’ve ever seen live.
