stunned, dazed and still can't quite believe it!!
Starbucks have admitted to only paying £8m in tax over 14 years and nothing the last 3, now i know it's not illegal but surely something needs to be done about these tax avoidance loopholes.

if the government wasn't to busy trying to rip the small man off all the time then they would have time to close the loop holes and gather the taxes due to them

Exactly, we have to pay ours though I'm sure there are ways around some of it (swp's back is the man here) yet these types of bastards get away with it.

Should all boycott Starbucks and other companies that avoid paying it.
Very limited ways for us normal folk unfortunately.

Ditto.

People forget the power that a collective boycott can have. If you don't like something/somewhere, DON'T spend your hard earned there and encourage your friends and family to do the same. It's how a "free market" is designed to operate.

tbh i really dont give a shit and i dont mean that in a nasty way in reply to your post, this or any other government is out only to do one thing and thats screw us and if its not them then the banks will do it for them, i decided a long time ago it was me and my wife and kids versus the rest if i can defraud the tax and get away with it i will and wont have any sleepless nights over it, the days of unity are gone i'm afraid. look after yourself first and fuk the rest
