State Pension Increases

stupid and inept???, more like devious lying avaricious anti-democratic career parasites gorging on a brain-washed public....that's not stupid and inept...surviving countless examples of criminal behaviour scot-free takes cunning and planning, an iron grip on the msm. Stupid and inept applies more to the electorate than the perpetrators, taken in by a serial liar, on record as calling the working class stupid lazy drunkards. Stirring up the jingoism and racism latent in enough of the population to scrape through brexit was not stupid, nasty divisive abhorent but successful, which is all that mattered. Stupidity is not a chosen condition, whereas cruelty and avarice are. There is world of difference.
No argument from me

Never quite understood why the "triple-lock" is deemed unfair on the current, young taxpayers. If it were abandoned would they start paying less tax & Ni contributions?
The next generation of retirees have a lot more flexibility over their pension. I was forced to take a poor annuity during the financial crises a few years back.
And what about the current two-tier system. With SERPS, I'm just ahead of the game but, with the higher increases for the new pension, in just 2 or 3 years I'll be earning less and it deteriorates from there on.

It safer to always assume that whatever this government proposes is for the benefit of the rich.

Their whole ethos is centred on this principle, and always has been for as long as I can recall.
Indeed and this book, albeit a few years old, spells out quite nicely how regardless of changing political parties or social movements "The Establishment" hold on to their power and influence. Its certainly worth a read.

Where have I said that I support a wife and kids on £6k a year?

And if you're trying to suggest that an irrefutable definition of a happy, contented and successful life is being married with kids you might want to take a look at the divorce stats before embarrassing yourself any further.

I'm guessing you're not entirely familiar with the concept of subjectivity when it comes to defining what quality of life entails?

If you take the time to read earlier responses I've given quite a lot of detail about my hobbies and pass times.

Only this morning a friend called round to mine and let him have a whole can of coke and it had cost me to chill it in the fridge.
Divorce? Been there

Owen Jones is a **** and I’d rather read my own hand smeared faeces.

Please do educate me on why my quality of life is so poor and why I should go back out working and earning to improve it rather than being retired at 48.

Presumably your life is much better than mine, can you give a few examples of how that's so...
If your income really is £6K you are missing out on several benefits.

I must be imagining my expenditure for the last 4 years then.

A single person, mortgage free household can comfortably get by on £6k a year assuming you're not into foreign holidays, flash cars, having the latest iPhone or pissing your money away in the boozer at every opportunity.

So not having much of a life then?
