State Pension Increases

If its so difficult to get a SEN/ND etc diagnosis then how come there's been an exponential rise in just such diagnoses?
I don't know; I haven't seen the evidence - have you? However, I do deal frequently with parents struggling to get such diagnoses and statements for their children. Perhaps the cause is to be found in the DNA of spongers, but the specific gene responsible has yet to be identified.

It's a bit odd that you feel entitled to offer your biased and emotive opinion on the subject when you don't even have a grasp of such basic and easily obtainable facts such as the levels of diagnoses, I'll help you out though as I'm nice like that, let's just take ADHD for example as one of the myriad of supposed SEN/ND conditions... diagnoses of this have tripled in just the last 10 years.

My dad did this when my step mum had a hip operation and he wanted to renovate the bathroom with a walk-in bath. They basically said yes you can get it, but the process is so long that you might as well just pay yourself if you have the money. Of course, you can't pay yourself and get a rebate once you've proven the need. So the only way to get it is to struggle in unsuitable circumstances for months first.
If you pay for a needed renovation for a disabled person then you get vat relief.
We are currently having a full bathroom re-build at a cost of 9k after tax relief. Done by a private specialist firm and using nice gear and not the shit the council would provide.

Are you an educational psychologist?

No.

So what's your professional background to be able to challenge a diagnosis?
Why would I need a professional background in the area being discussed in order to question the reasons behind the huge increase in diagnoses in recent years?

Because maybe you don't actually understand it as well as you think you do.

So what's the reason you think is driving the increases and over diagnosis?

I mentioned this somewhere in my ramblings on this thread. I think the tax threshold limits have been frozen for six years. As it only stands at £12,570 a year, many of the lower paid who get a pay rise and pensioners with a small private pension will soon start paying tax. They're not as green as they're cabbage looking our Tory friends.
Ye the personal allowance went up around £300 a year, it’s been frozen by 2028 for 6 years so that’s £1800 less than it should be giving an allowance of roughly £14500, so as soon as these rises in state pension keep kicking in then the tax collecting will go through the roof as more and more will pay on it. Be interesting to see if Labour do anything about it.
